I Could Just Cry!

I don't want to discourage any wanna be do-it-yourselfers.  Usually things go pretty well.  But you might as well know that sometimes they go very wrong.  So I've shared the good...now I'm sharing the bad and the ugly.

I could just cry right now. Never, ever try to tape and paint walls in humid weather. Because this will happen:

Now I have to wait for dryer weather and sand, patch, prime and paint all over again. I think I'm going to be sick!  I'm going to go take a shower, then take myself to bed and pout.  Sniff! Sniff!

  1. Oh Deborah I am so sorry. I feel your pain. It happens to everyone. I'd be crying too sweetie. Hope you get it all fixed up soon. :)

  2. It's okay Deborah. Have a good cry. It always makes me feel better. I haven't had that happen but the humidity caused the paint in a room I painted to literally "drape" off the wall like it was so heavy! I had to roll it again and put a fan in the room. You can still see all the roller marks in the whole room. We all have bad things happen. I'm so sorry that it happened to you!

  3. I am so sorry! What a bummer, nothing is worse than working on something and having it ruined! :( I hope it dries out soon!

  4. Oh, I am so sorry. I've been patiently waiting for the humidity to pass because I have painting to do...but I understand why you went ahead.

I hope the shower helped - they almost always help me!!

  5. I was sorry to read this. I taped and striped my son's bedroom a few years back and I know all the work that went into it.
I hope the shower and a good night's sleep helped.

  6. After all that work you did in the room prepping it! I really feel for you. I'm going to read on and I'm sure I'll find that you've fixed it and are smiling again!
