Boy's Bedroom - The Next Challenge

Now she's gone and done it! Donna at Funky Junk Interiors threw down the gauntlet and challenged me to get Jared's bedroom done by the next 'Gitter Done' deadline. She has no idea what she's asking...actually she probably does, based on the many projects she's accomplished...the woman is amazing!

I didn't promise anything, and I probably won't get it finished including all the decor etc., but I will have my boy back in his room, with his newly painted bed and nightstand, new bedding, rug and hopefully shelving. It might be stretching it, but I might have a couple other fun things done by then too.

The party starts October 6th, but she gives us a week to post, and I will probably have to take advantage of that week to 'Gitter Done'!

Until then, I thought I'd share some inspiration photos.  I may incorporate elements from some of these into his room, with a bit of creative license to use them as a jumping off point.

I can tell you right now, his room will never look this neat (above).  His bed will likely look more like the bed in the second picture...artfully unmade!

 I'll post some snippets of the progress along the way, but the big reveal will have to wait until...well...the big reveal!  Now, I'm passing the challenge on.  I challenge you to pick a project (it doesn't have to be diy and it doesn't have to be huge...like a whole room remodel...ahem.) and 'Gitter Done', then blog about it and post it on Donna's next party.  I'd love to see some of you at the party!!
