Want to be a pin-up girl? Join the party, and if you are featured, I'll pin your project to my Green Willow Pond Features Board!
It looks like our spring was a short lived one. Last week was beautiful. I dug out an entire 12 foot flower bed. Lilac roots had invaded, and some of the perennials were staging a coup to take over the whole bed. They got the ax...literally. My hubby had to take an ax to the lilac roots. Never fear, you can't kill those things. This past few days has been miserably cold and wet again. Tomorrow is supposed to be better...I sure hope so.
I tried starting a favorite rose from stem cuttings. You can read about that here. It's an interesting technique, that I'm curious to see if it works.
If you read my recent post about challenges, you know that my husband was laid off over two months ago. Many responded with prayers and well wishes, that really lifted my spirits. Ken is still laid off. We are still praying he will be called back soon.
In an unexpected and sudden turn of events, I've been offered a part time job at our local JoAnn store. I have not worked outside the home for many years, so I am a little nervous, and yet excited too. It will nowhere near make up for what my husband made, but every little bit helps. It will keep me busier though, so I may not be able to comment on all the link-ups every week anymore. I will continue to host the party and do the features. I get so much joy from seeing all your wonderful inspiration.
Now on to this weeks features. The top clicked link this week was this bed and dresser redone by Freddie & Petunia. You have to see what she put on the top of the bed posts!
Isn't the color and design of this end table just gorgeous! This is just one of several that Susan of Sunflower Hugs repainted.
Kadee Willow painted this awesome wrapping paper herself, and if you are all thumbs at wrapping gifts, she gives a great tutorial to make it easier.

Now, onward to this weeks party! It's not a rule, but if you would like to follow me it always makes me smile :)

Thank you so much for hosting Deborah. We struggled with the same challenges in the past few years too, and it's hard to know how it will all work out, but it will. God always provides, and you will do great at JoAnn's :)

I've never tried propogating roses, but I have two that I really love and would love having more of. I'll have to check out that post. Thanks for hosting. I hope the new job goes well. It'll be a new juggling act for sure, but what a blessing to have that opportunity. I hope you enjoy working there.

What a delightful surprise to see my Banana Bread Recipe featured today!! We really do enjoy it...another loaf was made last night...with a half bag of chocolate chips and a dash of nutmeg and a wee bit extra vanilla...cause I just can't stop playing with what I already think is best. Silly me.
