What We Accomplished Wednesday #61

Want to be a pin-up girl? Join the party, and if you are featured, I'll pin your project to my Green Willow Pond Features Board!

I think summer has finally arrived in northern Michigan. Okay, I am exaggerating a bit, but we are finally getting some temps up in the 80's and the corn is finally taking off like a bad weed!  I just gave the garden a quick hoe this morning before the heat could do me in.  My son and I worked a couple weeks ago weeding and spreading grass clippings and straw over most of the garden to keep the weeds down.  It works really well and helps hold the moisture in too.  So far I have not had to water the garden this year.  That saves me tons of time.

I'd take a picture, but my batteries are dead and I can't find my charger!  I took it to church camp with us in June and think I may have left it plugged in my brother-in-law's camper, and they are camping in Maine for two weeks.  If I don't find it in a couple of days, I may have to buy a new one...argg!

I did get pictures of some new aprons I made for my Etsy store before the batteries died.  I am particularly in love with the first one.

There were so many amazing links at the last party.  Take a look at these features!  So much inspiration.

I am drooling over this gorgeous white buffet painted by Darrielle of DD's Cottage

Marty, from A Stroll Thru Life, created this beautiful sitting area with things she already had.

Sarah and her hubby, of 702 Park Project, are humming right along with their whole house remodel.  You won't believe the change in her foyer.  Check out those gorgeous stairs!

This crate table is just funky cool!  Check it out at My Do It Yourself.

Heather from The Heathered Nest, created this amazing guest room.  Anyone else who wants to spend a couple of nights there, raise your hand!

Mindi, from My Love 2 Create, has a way with benches.  I love this piano bench that she gave a new lease on life to.

This sweet little dresser got an awesome face lift by Terry, from Forever Decorating.  I love the knobs and the surprise addition she added.

Brooke, from Artistic Endeavors 101 created this darling tiered stand from recycled materials.  Go check out how she made it.

You have got to go see this amazing fun station.  I'm not going to spoil the surprise of what it is. Just go check it out now at Bliss!  It is so cool!

I am all about easy in the kitchen, but I'm also all about yummy taste.  This cinnamon bun cheesecake seems like it would take forever to make, but it is quick and easy!  Get the recipe at Kitchen Dreaming.

Now it's your turn.  Show us what you've accomplished.  Can't wait to see what you've been up to!

The Simple and Easy Rules

1. Only projects you have made/accomplished pretty please. This means no round up of others projects, give aways etc. Items for sale are okay, as long as they are in tutorial form, and linked to your blog post.  No direct links to shops or Etsy stores.  Link up to 3 posts - please link posts new to this party.

2. Linking back to the party (text or button) within your post is very much appreciated . You can grab a button from the side bar if you like.

3. By linking up here, you are giving me permission to feature you here, on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and/or Pinterest.  I'll only use 1-2 pictures from your post and link back to you. Then people will be flocking to your blog to read all about it!!  Spreadin' the love around baby!
Most importantly, go visit some of the links because otherwise it wouldn't be a party would it?

I am no longer automatically adding you to my email list to send out reminders about the party. If you want a reminder each week, just use the little sign up form below. You will only be signing up for party notifications. I will not use this list for anything else, nor will I ever share it with anyone. ever. period.

  1. Fab. Fab. Fabulous features Deborah! And I agree....your aprons with the vintage floral design is gorgeous!!!
Glad you finally got some warm weather for your garden. But, if you're like me...I melt when it hits the 80's. I'm such a wimp! All the more reason to get up really early in the morning to get my walk in. ;)
Hope you're able to get your charger ASAP. BTW...we ordered a power cord for my computer on eBay and it was just $10 including shipping. I couldn't believe it. Dell's cost was 9x that price.

    Hope your week is extraordinary!
    Hugs & Blessings!!

  5. Good afternoon, Deborah. Thanks for hosting the blog party. Actually, I like the second apron better! :)
Good luck with the power cord. Here's a tip - I heard that hotels and motels have boxes and boxes of power cords that people forget and that all you have to do is go and ask them for one! You might try it. Have a great week!

  22. Hello Deborah! I've stumbled upon your blog in the craziest way, but so glad I'm here. I just became your newest follower and I think I'm a "special" number: 444! Although the main purpose of my blog is about being a writer, I also love décor blogs, too. I'm a follower of Marty's at A Stroll Thru Life, who I see left a comment here, too. I LOVE everything posted here and will stop back as much as I can...which lately, is not very often! Have a blissful rest of the week!
