Rustic Valentine Wreath

Do you decorate for valentines day?  I don't...or I haven't...until now.  I admit it.  I caved.  How could I not?  After seeing all these awesome, nontraditional, Valentine decorations?

(Please do not pin the following from this page.  Go to the authors blog and post it from the source.)

Donna at Funky Junk Interiors rustic hearts:

Chateau Chic's patch work hearts

I love the natural, rustic elements in all of these.  With that in mind, and the fact that I wanted to use what I already had on hand, I had my mission.  Lucky for me, all the organizing of craft suppies as I moved them from all over the house to my new craft room, unearthed a lot of things I'd long forgotten. Some hit the round file bin ;)  Other stuff got donated to our homeschool group.

A  roll of ivory paper twist almost got pitched, but at the last minute I changed my mind.  That and a twig wreath, some pieces of cardboard and a scrap of burlap.  My husband would have pitched it all in the round file.  Not muah.  Eat your heart out honey.

I'm in love...swoon.  Now don't get jealous hon.  I still love you too.

If you want a tutorial, leave me a comment and I'll post one later this week.  Oh, by the way, feel free to pin these last two pictures...cause they're mine ;)

Update: You can find the tutorial here.

I've linked to these fab parties. Go show them some love...and fall in love yourself!
