Want to be a pin-up girl? Join the party, and if you are featured, I'll pin your project to my Green Willow Pond Features Board!
Today was back to school for kids in our district. It was back to home school for my youngest. He got away lightly today, as I finished rounding up the books I want him to use and I had a doctors appointment today. Tomorrow will be grueling...kidding...although he probably will think so ;)
Today was a little sad, as I had to take my mama hen, who has been sitting on eggs, off the nest. All but one of the eggs ended up rotten or the chick died inside. I had to clean out the coop. One egg remains and it is wrapped in a towel on a heating pad. I have little hope for it. It was my first time with a broody hen, and I learned a lot about what to do next time. For now, she needs to eat and build her strength back up, so I have to keep shooing her off the eggs. She'd starve to death!
My garden is late this year, since the first seeds rotted in the ground with our cold, wet spring. My beans just started this week. I was going to can them, but got called into work an extra day. I'd already picked the beans, with no time to can, so I blanched and froze them instead. It's time to pick them again too!
I also finished the drawer fronts of the cabinets I refaced for a friend, and my daughter's college roommate came to visit for the holiday. All that kept me pretty busy this week, so no project posts...boo! But you certainly had some. The linkups this week were awesome! Here is the rundown of the top ten for last weeks party:
Up first is beautiful dining room by Susan of Must Love Junk . I love the serene feel of this room!
Christine, from Little Brags, snazzed up some picture frames with a metal letter and star. I love the burlap knobs she hung them from too. Aren't they cute?
You have got to see how this beautiful desk transforms into a table! Mary, from Orphans With Makeup, did an amazing job of painting and distressing this gorgeous piece.
This sweet little pumpkin was made by Nici at Posed Perfection. She used a glass vase and a thrift store sweater. Check out her great tutorial.
It took a lot of elbow grease, removing damaged veneer, but Therena, from Little Bit of Paint, transformed this tired dresser into this little beauty. I love the colors with the stained top!
Isn't this tub with the map just the cutest? Rhonda, from Obsessive and Creative, used Mod Podge and paint to transform it. Love that!
Pear season is just about here in our neck of the woods. My pear tree is loaded! Just in time, Aimee, from Twigg Studios, shared her Pear Fritter recipe. My mouth is watering!
Your turn! What amazing things have you been up to this week? Please join the party and share with us.

Isn't this gift wrap sweet? Pay Ursula, from Kraft Mint, a visit to see how she did it.
Elisha, from Pneumatic Addict, used several techniques on this trunk her grandfather made for her, to completely change the look of it. I love the color and the typography!

This is a recipe I've had for years, but have not made in forever. I'm so glad Danielle, from Snippets of Inspiration shared it. I am so going to make these very soon. They are delicious!
Da Simple and Easy Rules
1. Only projects you have made/accomplished pretty please. Items for sale are okay, as long as they are in tutorial form, and linked to your blog post. No links to shops or Etsy stores, please. Link up to 3 posts
2. Linking back to the party (text or button) within your post is very much appreciated . You can grab a button from the side bar if you like.
3. By linking up here, you are giving me permission to feature you here, on Facebook, Twitter, Google + and Pinterest. I'll only use 1-2 pictures from your post and link back to you. Then people will be flocking to your blog to read all about it!! Spreadin' the love around baby!
*Note - After your first link-up, as a courtesy, I will email you each week to let you know when the party is up and running. If at any time you wish to be taken off the list, just shoot me an email with unsubscribe in the subject line. I use your email for this purpose only and never share it with anyone else.

Thank you for hosting, Deborah.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like from my computer, your buttons area which I usually can copy and paste to link up is empty.
So I'll just link your blog name, not the button.
By the way, am I still no reply blogger?
I think I fixed it but I don't really know what is no reply blogger...haha
So I can't tell if I'm still or not....
Thanks!
