What We Accomplished Wednesday #32

Want to be a pin-up girl?  Join the party, and if you are featured, I'll pin your project to my Green Willow Pond Features Board!

My heart goes out to those effected by the devastating tornadoes here in the US and the tsunami in the Phillipines.  I pray for all those who lost their homes or loved ones.  Preparedness can only go so far.  How do you prepare for your home being wiped off it's foundation?  Everything gone?  Thank God for the Red Cross, our military and for those who are there, who can bring hope and help.

Our family took a trip to Marquette in the UP (upper peninsula of Michigan).  Our neice, Erin, was in a College production of Les Miserables.  She played the part of Fontaine...and played it very, very well!  We also took in our nephew's hockey game the next morning, did some TJ Maxx shopping and returned home Sunday night.  It was a lot of fun, but tiring too.  It is always good to be back home.

I managed to tackle a couple of quick and easy projects this week.  If you missed them, I put together a Christmas wall basket here.

I also made a slip in cover for the back of my tabletop clock here.

You've all been busy too, based on the many wonderful linkups to last weeks party. Thank you everyone for participating.  My top 5 picks start with this gorgeous two-tone cabinet, painted by Katie, at the Shabby Cottage Home.  I love her arrangement inside too!

Christy, at Confessions of a Serial DIYer, rocked this dresser when she added printed burlap to the drawer fronts.  Love that!

Harlequin patterns always make my heart beat a little faster.  This little vanity nearly made it jump out of my chest.  I absolutely love how Lisa, at Create Inspire Me,  used harlequin paper from Hobby Lobby (I have this paper!) for the inside of the base.  Awesome!

Elisha, at Pneumatic Addict shows us how to get this faux tarnished brass finish.  You also have to see the cabinet she turned into a "card catalog" that she used these on!

Tammy, from One More Time Events, not only shows us some beautiful natural ways to display holiday treats, but also shares three delicious chocolate/peanutbutter recipes.

Now it's your turn.  Come join the party and link up your favorite projects!

Da Simple and Easy Rules

1. Only projects you have made/accomplished pretty please. Items for sale are okay, as long as they are in tutorial form, and linked to your blog post.  No links to shops or Etsy stores, please.  Link up to 3 posts

2. Linking back to the party (text or button) within your post is very much appreciated . You can grab a button from the side bar if you like.

3. By linking up here, you are giving me permission to feature you here, on Facebook, Twitter, Google + and/or Pinterest.  I'll only use 1-2 pictures from your post and link back to you. Then people will be flocking to your blog to read all about it!!  Spreadin' the love around baby!
*Note - After your first link-up, as a courtesy, I will email you each week to let you know when the party is up and running. If at any time you wish to be taken off the list, just shoot me an email with unsubscribe in the subject line. I use your email for this purpose only and never share it with anyone else.

  2. That armillary is beautiful - did you say it was a clock? I haven't gotten any of my Christmas decorations out yet because I am hosting Thanksgiving this year, and I think my family would revolt if I had Christmas decorations out! I'll start the day after :) Anyway, thank you so much for hosting - it's always a pleasure to participate in your hop and read all of the other wonderful posts!
